Our Story
Lucy’s passion for childcare began over a decade ago in Germany, where she trained at a nursery managed by the Armed Forces Family Federation (AFF). In 2014, after her husband's discharge from the British Army, Lucy relocated to Manchester and quickly advanced to Deputy Manager at a local nursery.
In 2018, driven by a desire for a more personalized approach, Lucy founded Sure Beginners Childcare. She transformed part of her home into a vibrant, child-friendly space and navigated the complexities of starting her own business. Her reputation and community support helped attract her first clients.
Parents appreciated Lucy’s genuine care and engaging environment, leading to rapid word-of-mouth growth. Drawing on her AFF background, she handled various situations with empathy and efficiency. As the business grew, Lucy introduced themed learning activities and regularly updated her skills through professional development.
By 2024, Sure Beginners Childcare had become a respected childminding service in Manchester, supporting local families and creating a close-knit community. Lucy’s journey from Germany to running her own business showcased her dedication and love for nurturing young lives. Sure Beginners Childcare is the culmination of her experiences, dreams, and commitment to early childhood education.
